Hello all,
TK 2250 here. Been out of the loop for a while, good to be back. Looking forward to getting back up to standard in a riki-tik fashion and getting back out there to troop. last time I was still active, WV was still a full part of Carida. So its been a minute or two. I have some interesting stories from the intervening years.
Looking forward to reuniting with old and new troopers alike.

Welcome back! Time to get cracking on a TK update build thread. Let's see what you have and your planned upgrades/updates to get you back to trooping!

Well first things, I need to get new lenses for my RT Mod Helmet. I lost one at an event ages ago and just never got around to getting a new set. One of the reasons I wanted to re establish contact, I knew that fellow 501st members would know where to find a quality set. Case in point, already found them. Need to see what standards have changed and see if I can adjust appropriately. Also plan on building something else and doing a new costume. Leaning towards Scout Trooper, but open to other ideas if the Garrison is low on a particular costume. THe armor pinches from the TK probably would not go over as well as they did ten years ago. Where would the appropriate place to put the update build thread be located at? I looked through the forums and was not sure where to start that thread at. General perhaps? I did not see any other build threads is why I ask.

I added you to the "cadet" role in the mean-time as well, this should open up some additional build thread sub-forums/topics.

I'd recommend starting up a thread in the Costuming Discussion section here: https://www.garrisoncorellia.com/phpBB3 ... m.php?f=16

We'd definitely encourage you to do whatever you'd like to do rather than picking something that the garrison is low on. After all, you're spending your own personal time and money on the costume. It should be something that you have the desire to build and wear :)

A scout trooper is always a solid choice... gotta love the ability to actually sit down in costume. I think the costume that we have the most of right now are various versions of TIE Pilots (12+). On the scout front, I think we have about 6. We only have 3 snowies.

The only face character that we have a lot of is Kylo; I believe we have 4.

Here's the garrison roster to give you a better feel of the costumes everyone has (may need to click through some of them, as people tend to have more than one): https://www.501st.com/members/garrisonr ... isonId=120

But it all comes back to what do you feel like doing and how much do you feel like spending?

Jonathan, we are glad to have you back. I'm guessing your legion profile is still with Carida, so you will need to reach out to them to request a transfer of your profile. That way, when your costume gets approved (or re-approved) we can get your account updated.

Found some photos of one of our troops back in 2011 at the Wheeling Hospital.

Wow those bring back memories. Sure thing I will attempt to get a hold of Carida later today. I plan on busting out the armor this weekend, and I think I am likely going to make a TIE pilot or Imperial Gunner as well. My hopes of getting TB are dashed for the moment. Hate to move on to another costume instead of wearing white armor, but its likely the best choice.

Lots of details have changed over the years with the CRLs, so make sure to reference them during your build.

Welcome back! As Mike pointed out the CRL's have changed dramatically the past 5-7 years so please double check things and read through all the descriptions of the parts of the costume.

We are hear to assist so feel free to reach out to any of us.
