Dakota has reached out to Kevin at Imperial Surplus. Nothing armor wise has been ordered yet.

Which vendor did you go with when building your shorey?

Awesome! It’s a great kit and Kevin is actually doing upgrades right now, which will make it even better!!! Mine is a mix and match of parts, but my chest, ab, shoulders, biceps, and forearms are Imperial Surplus. I don’t mean to get in anyones way, just figured I am very familiar with the shore and have physically worked with pretty much every shore kit out there. So if ya’ll need any help, feel free to reach out!!! GL!

Any knowledge that you can share about finding the correct paints would be very helpful... that's a bit later down the road, but will be helpful nonetheless. I did a fair amount of digging before I changed my mind on a Shoretrooper and went with the Tanktrooper; but I'm curious if folks found alternatives that are easy to find rather than the actual Montana Gold branded stuff.

We put a list together for the correct paints and where to get them. The Montana sahara beige was the screen used paint. It’s not overly hard to find; some Michaels carry them. The toughest ones to get will be the spicy orange for the helmet emblem and the nordic blue, but there are acceptable replacements.

In order to tone down the blue, it also needs to be sprayed with a grey weathering spray and a bit of flat black overspray.

I get all montana paint from here: https://www.dickblick.com/products/mont ... HqEALw_wcB

Tan:
Montana Gold Sahara Beige

Blue:
https://www.myperfectcolor.com/en/color ... ue/tab_buy

Blue areas were also weathered with the following:
Movie Paint Rottenstone (gray) (US)
https://www.pnta.com/scenic/paint/movie ... ray-paint/
The Blue was also dusted with a matte black paint. Any matte black should do, but this is the one used on film:

Red

Toyota code 3E5

Toyota Super Red II (US)

Yellow

At this time, all that is known for sure is that a matte yellow was used.
Montana Gold Yellow Cab may be the color that was used in the film
Pantone 124 C is the closest color code that could be found

Orange-Red

For helmet circle emblem

PANTONE 18-1445 TPX ("Spicy Orange")
Montana Gold Red Orange is a recommended match

Thank you for the paint color insights! I know this will be very helpful when it comes time for Dakota to paint things. I'll copy this into Dakota's build thread and quoting you for credit. Thank you again!
