Hello from Beckley!
Hello all!
My name is Zack, and I'm from Daniels, WV, right outside of the city of Beckley. I've worked with charities under my historical reenactment unit since 2016, and being a Star Wars nerd, this was the logical next step. I'm starting with an Imperial Bridge Crewman/Navy Trooper and look to work my way to a Snowtrooper (among others). I look forward to getting to know you all and getting to do good as a bad guy!

Awesome Zack. I'm Josh. We really need more members in the southern part of the state. There are a couple of us down here in the Lewisburg area. Welcome!

Re: Hello from Beckley!
Glad to have you. My name is William and I'm an Event Coordinator from the Charleston area, so you'll probably be hearing from me a fair bit. You'll be given a formal advisor, of course, but I've done two Bridge Crewman/TIE Reserve costumes and you can feel free to ask me about them.

Thanks for the warm welcome y'all! I will definitely use the resources provided to me to build my costume and hopefully get to trooping in the next couple of months!

Re: Hello from Beckley!
Zach,
First off, welcome to the 501st and Garrison Corellia. You will find your experiences with this group to be not only fun, but also at times inspiring. We seek to not only have a great time while in and out of costume, but we believe in giving back to the community through our participation in events like Relay for Life, Special Olympics and Children's hospital visits. As you familiarize yourself with our forums, please note that I have created a build thread for you here (viewtopic.php?t=1401) for you to record the progress on your costumes and ask any questions as they arise. As you peruse the forums, you will find all sorts of useful information. Feel free to post questions in any of the threads available to you and if you can't find an answer to something specific, don't hesitate to ask. This Garrison is great about helping out new cadets with whatever issues they might have.
Since you are wanting to do Bridge Crew and Naval Trooper costumes, my first suggestion is to join the Imperial Officer Detachment at https://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/. You will find that forum an invaluable resources for all things Bridge crew and Naval Officer related. I would suggest you start by simply reading through some of the threads and becoming familiar with the terms and possibilities. You will also need to familiarize yourself with the CRL as it is the guide that we go by for approval of any costume.
Bridge Crew: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Cos ... ridge_crew
Naval Trooper: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Cos ... vy_trooper
I have assigned Matt Schraeder as your advisor.
I look forward to assisting you in becoming a member of this great garrison.
